  1. Fur-Line protective cup-style supporter with black and gold tracer lines from Martin Inc., Greenville, SC.
  2. Futuro Cup Gard supporter and cup protector with snap on pouch and tubular leg straps. The box is from a 1983 model 007383 Futuro supporter. VIEW BOX
  3. This Gray-Nicholls multiple purpose jock strap is from Great Britain and gives excellent protection for a variety of sports. The 3" elastic waistband is of heavy surgical elastic for durability. VIEW BOX
  4. Gunn & Moore jockstrap designed for playing cricket. It features a nice large plastic cup with leather padding stitched around the edge.
  5. This Jhoon Rhee groin protector, designed for use in the martial arts, has a sturdy high-impact plastic cup.
  6. The Jim Sport athletic supporter from Spain has a terrycloth cup pocket and was made in the early 1960s.
  7. The JOFA hockey player's protective cup from Sweden has a very sturdy, foam-lined contoured cup.
  8. Another version of the Swedish JOFA hockey jock. The contoured cup on this one is lined with blue foam.
  9. JS-550 hockey goalie protective cup. This supporter has extra padding in the groin area for the additional protection needed by goalies.
  10. Kens Golden Tiger supporter with cup. Two snaps secure the cup in the soft cotton pouch.
  11. The Australian-made Kookaburra gent's athletic support is 85% cotton. It contains a very interesting note on the waistband label: "Keep Away from Fire!" VIEW BOX
  12. Litesome Cricket supporter from 1960s England. The label on the front says, "Specially designed for use with the Litesome Guard. Wash with Lux."
  13. Markwort protective cup. The cup is held into the very comfortable rib knit pouch with two snaps.
  14. MacGregor cup-style supporter with reinforced snap closure to secure the cup. VIEW PACKAGING
  15. Mirrekord "soporte faja angosta para concha" regular band cup-style supporter with a sturdy 3" elastic waistband and rib-knit cup pouch with snap fasteners to retain the cup. The waistband has red and black tracer lines and the cup is of red plastic with a black rubber gasket. From Laboratorios LeRoy s.a.de c.v., Mexico. VIEW BOX
  16. This may be the oldest cup jock in my collection. The Mitre groin guard had a metal cup covered with leather. The upper portion of the guard is heavy canvas with grommetted air holes. Padding around the edges are also leather-covered. It was likely used for ice hockey.
  17. This is a newer Mitre cup-style jockstrap with 3" waistband. The cup is held in place by a strong strip of elastic at the top of the pouch.
  18. A hockey jock from Norcon Mfg. Co., St. Paul, MN, was actually made in Canada. Notice the snap on the cup pocket.
  19. Olympia hockey player's cup jock. Made in Canada.
  20. Vintage Pender cup-style jock made in Canada for Pender Sports Corp., Boston, MA. Probably used for ice hockey, the inside of the pouch is lined with a soft flannel-like material.
  21. Profect's Force88 hockey jockstrap. This jock has an exceptionally deep cup and adjustable waistband and leg straps for a secure fit.
  22. ProGuard hockey player's athletic cup.
  23. Protechion JS-5000 hockey player's groin guard of black and orange nylon with removable plastic cup.
  24. Protex hockey player's jock. Made in Guelph, Canada, it has a magnesium cup dated 1935. Instead of having rubber around the outside rim, the cup has a strip of wool material hand-stitched to the cup. The jock itself, dated 1938, has a snap closure on the pouch.
  25. The foam cup on this Protex model extends up to lace onto the waistband.
  26. Another vintage Protex model from Guelph Elastic (Canada). This one has a one-piece cup of molded rubber over hard plastic that laces onto the waistband.
  27. This is the Protex model 372 cup supporter. Made by Protexion Products Inc., Guelph, Canada, this very comfortable jock has a soft brushed nylon cup pocket and is recommended for ice hockey, inline hockey, baseball, football, soccer and martial arts.
  28. Ringside Products martial arts groin protector features a colorful striped waistband with black understraps. The deep banana-style cup is sealed in soft padded vinyl.
  29. This Rucanor supporter and cup was sent to me by a site visitor from the Netherlands. Rucanor manufactures a variety of sporting goods in both the Netherlands and Canada.
  30. Cricket supporter made in India for Slazenger Ltd. of Great Britain. VIEW BOX

  32. The Sher-Wood model CA-00764 hockey supporter and cup. This supporter is from Les Industries Holmont Limitée, Québec, Canada.
  33. 1960s Steichen's model SA-10 cup jock from Steichen's Sporting Goods, St. Paul, MN. VIEW BOX
  34. The Sun martial arts groin protector is made in Korea by Choi Brothers. The deep cup is encased in a white leather-like covering.
  35. Tigerclaw martial arts cup-style groin guard. Made in Thailand.
  36. USA-made Tru-Play No. 10 adult cup supporter from The Dreier Co., East Brunswick, NJ. Washing instructions included on the back of the package warn "Do no use bleach or detergent. Rinse cup in cold water." VIEW BOX
  37. British Tuftex cricket supporter has blue/green/red tracer lines around a heavy-duty 3" waistband and nice durable flat leg straps.
  38. This is the Vaughn hockey cup with non-removable high-impact plastic cup and abdomen guard.
  39. VIC hockey player's protective cup. Made in Taiwan.
  40. VIC CP4 hockey goalie cup. As you can see, this is a very heavily padded jock.
  41. Vulkan elasticated athletic supporter is designed to provide effective support without restricting movement. Includes a separate compartment for a "box" protector. Made in England by Mobilis Healthcare Group.
  42. Wilson Pro Staff cup-style athletic supporter with 6" waistband. This supporter, like the regular-style shown on Collection 4, is made by the Martin Manufacturing Company.
  43. Black WSI hockey jock. The cup is held into the nylon and Lycra pouch with a strip of elastic at the top.
  44. This 1950s Wellinger & Dunn was made in Toronto, Canada and appears to have had a lot of heavy wear.
  45. Another Wellinger & Dunn jock, the WinWell is from the mid-1960s. It has a cotton flap-style pouch that holds a high-impact plastic cup.
  46. An old Wilson abdominal supporter with protective cup. Made in U.S.A. by Wilson Sporting Goods Co., Chicago, Ill., the cup is held into the reinforced pouch with two metal snaps. It has a wide waistband and tubular, non-roll legstraps.
  47. Unknown brand cup jock with removable soft plastic cup, heavy elastic adjustable waistband and flat leg straps. Markings on the waistband indicate that it is made in the U.S.A.
