The date was Friday, September 5, 1997. I spent the evening looking for websites
that could tell me something about the history of the jockstrap. I was lured
into several pay sites that showed pictures of models in jocks but where
were the real jockmen of the world? Where were the men who actually wore
jockstraps in real life? And why should I have to pay to connect with them?
With absolutely no website or HTML experience, I spent the next morning reading
and learning. The more I read and the more I learned, the more determined
I was to dive in head first and create a website to showcase my collection
of about a dozen vintage athletic supporters.
I now had everything I needed to design a website including a life-long career
in the field of graphic arts. A quick trip to a local computer store to purchase
an inexpensive digital camera and I was ready to go to work. By 9:00 p.m.
on September 6 my two-page website, AllKink's Vintage Jockstraps,
was uploaded to my webspace on AOL and the rest, as they say, is history.
The banners on this page trace the AllKink history from that Saturday evening
in 1997 through today. Enjoy!
