Author: greywolf Date Posted: 6/22/2016 12:00:00 AM	Subject: Jock strap alternative Here in the UK jocks were never compulsory for sports like they seem to have been in many US schools. However, boys need support and it was a widespread custom to wear swimming trunks ( of the Speedo type ). I went to secondary ( high ) school in the late 60's and I well remember wearing them for rugby, Pe, athletics and so on. I wonder if there are any other UK guys who recall the same. They certainly gave plenty of support when you needed it! Perhaps it was not only in the UK and I would love to hear from any guy on this topic

I can remember one or two boys who wore swimming trunks under their shorts for sports such as rugby or athletics. Personally, I preferred a Litesome jockstrap!

Swimming trunks can be a bit sweaty, especially in the warmer Summer months. I think that Jocks were often worn by boys who played cricket - which I was no good at! The rest of us used swimming trunks for support, sometimes having a spare pair as there were several 'games' periods, besides swimming. Author: JockerBuddy Date Posted: 6/25/2016 12:00:00 AM	Subject: Jockstrap alternative Although many guys wear jocks and other underwear or none at all, compression shorts seem to have become popular enough here to the point where some older teens wear them alone instead of gym shorts. It's also common to see waistbands of boxerbriefs like CK, AE, and others.
