I have long supporter of the BIKE since the days of junior high school. The old classic BIKE#10 that came in the box as you open the aroma of rubber and elastic filled the air. The BIKE logo wheel on the waist band. One red circle around the waist band for small. Wearing one now.

The boxed Bike #10 was before I got into jockatraps, but it sounds and looks nice. Perhaps I should try get one on eBay!

The Bike, or any jockstrap, isn't exactly a household name around here (in Europe) and certainly nothing any young lad would wear to gym class or similar. It is considered a sexual garment and is sold only in porn and men's underwear shops and of course online.

My first jock, not surprisingly, was a Bike and although they have changed over time (not for the better) it continues to be my number one choice. The only runner up I can think of is Nasty Pig. Their jocks/pouches offer excellent support and are sexy and cool but without being too fancy or fashion.

Always had the #10 Bike in junior high and then high school. In junior high, the coach would always have to of the students for that period, check beneath our trunks to make sure we were wearing one. Anyone not, was sent back to the locker room with an "F" for the day. I have not heard of McDavid jocks, until the post here. I'll have to check those out.

True(fit), a roomy pouch certainly is better than the opposite. But it also has to offer some support (I'm not talking protection) so must not be too baggy or shapeless.

the pouch is roomy but there is support as well, in my opinion its the perfect jock for me. plus the size L of their brand isn't too tight on the waist like others are, i really hate that. The waistband doesn't have to be really tight to make it a good jock.

I agree with bigoldballs. I too more often than not find the waistband a bit too tight for my liking (and I'm slim). It's as if it doesn't match the rest of the jock, even if you go up one size.

Subject: Favorite Jock Brand
I too am from the era when jocks came in boxes. First one was a Bauer and Black athletic supporter with a diving coin glued to the box. It was a swimmer and what was bought for me when the Middle school supplies list had an athletic supporter on it. I don't think it ever made it to gym class because of the effect it had on me. But my favorite has always been Bike. I've seen them all, red racing stripes, red, grey and blue, and brown and blue stripes. The coarse weave nylon pouches and real rubber strands left a lasting imprint on your boys. The did the job well. But now we have the cotton pouches and the BIKE waistband which are a good improvement. I still wish they would go back to the wider leg straps and a 3 inch non roll waist. The old cotton Bikes always ended half way up your back after situps in school. It was an easy target for guys to grab a hold and yank it higher up your back. After an active game of dodgeball they all ended up rolled up like jock pretzels on the locker room floor. The local clothing store sold them out of a bulk box. If you bought your red cotton twill gym shorts from them you could get a new jock for 79 cts. Poor guys that threw their new jock in with their new shorts had pink jocks the rest of the school year.

Subject: Jockstraps...A man's best friend
My ex introduced me to jocks when we first started dating. It was love at first fitting.
The brands I grew to love are, regular jocks: Bike, Jocko, Safe-T-Gard and Under Armour.
Fashion/street jocks: C-iN2 and 2xist.
The style of jock, that has become my first choice, is swimmer jocks; although I only own a couple pairs from Jocko and Safe-T-Gard. I'm looking to build my collections. I do have interest in the McDavid brand and the Flarico brand.
I have been and still am highly interested in owning a pair of the white Bike swimmer jock (white waistband). I've heard nothing but great reviews. Never got the opportunity to get one, and from what I learned, I will probably never get that chance since Bike has or will discontinue it.
Does anyone know, besides eBay, where I can get my hands on a pair of white Bike swimmer jock in medium or large?

You can still find them. Jockstrap Central recently sold out of white but you will find plenty of the old style at Jockstraps.com in white, red, black and the gold version of the Bike #10.

For comfort, washing durability, and oveall style the white or gray Bike Performance jocks are great for everyday wear under jeans, or for more intense workout sessions. Always a great feel, excellent support and a sexy look. McDavid swimmer supporter is also nice for minimal coverage giving the boys a nice, comfy lift.

My first year of coaching also required me to teach 4 daily PE classes. Back then, the students purchased their PE Uniform thru the school. I figured that the Department Head would order Bike jockstraps, but a few days before the start of school, several cases of Flarico jockstraps arrived. One box contained free Bub jocks for all of the coaches and PE instructors. Every year these were one of the freebees from the supplier, and even if you wore a Bub jock all day, every day I don't think you could wear one out....

Everybody has worn a Bike. For me they never felt snug enough, esp. the cups.
I usually wear a cup. Mueller & Adams the cup supporters feel good. Recently found Martin jocks thru Epic. Love em. Totally snug, stays in place, no readjusting.
I stuck a franklin cup inside & feels awesome. That's my new undergear.

Subject: UK Lonsdale brand vintage jock.
I've just swapped for this fantastic Lonsdale jockstrap. I absolutely am loving it. First time I tried it, my boner went totally off the scale, throbbing and felt like it would burst. Honestly, it's so romantic, beautiful, a complete turnon. After edging in it, there's a mixture of other guy's spunk with my pre all over my mushroom, fingers and everything's sticky. Puts a whole new meaning to that Kentucky Fried slogan, "Finger lickin' good". I can really feel the weave of that pouch on my circumcised mushroom helmet.

It's sweet wearing this strap, with spunk already on it, perfect shape pouch in thin material that gives sensitivity. That style pouch hugs my nuts and holds down my erection. Last night I had the pouch lubricated with pre and stroked it side to side across my mushroom head. I was gasping and humping, feels sweet and totally romantic, gets so exciting my pre feels like it's being pumped out, in a delightful sweet way. Knowing another guy's penis was in that pouch, his foreskin & balls. Hard to believe my good luck getting very generous wonderful beautiful toy. I owe a million thanks for the wanks.

Subject: Bike, Bub, Duke.. etc.
The Bike 10 was the standard of my high school p.e. program and athletic teams. It was supplied by the school in large bins, along with shorts, reversible shirts (even though shirts vs. skins was most common) and socks. The school athletic department kept cleaned, adequate supplies of everything, while it was obvious that some of the jockstraps had quite a bit of obvious wear already in them. Quite frequently, the guys would just put on a worn jockstrap discovered hangning in a locker from the previous p.e. class to vacate the lockerroom. I also admit to having done that on several occasions, as long as it was the correct size. The guys seemed to like having the uniforms supplied and took pride in wearing jockstraps, as a matter of peer pressure, if for no other reason. Likewise, we all seemed to enjoy the comraderie of a gang shower and tossing our sweaty gear in the "used" bins along the way. The coaches had long determined that it was more important to clean our gear at school than to have the lockerroom smell of "rancid supporters hanging in lockers" as one coach termed it. The same goal of keeping wet swimwear from inevitible mildew, was the force that drove all swimming and lifesaving classes to be "mandatory nude" in the all-male school. Towels were pulled off large stacks at the end of the shower ritual. Yes, a few soap bars were thrown, and guys joked not to bend over to pick them up, especially as a few of us would sprout involuntary (and frequent) erections in the shower. That seemed to be as natural and accepted as the shower itself. Along the equipment way, a few very comfortable and slightly different Bub jockstraps made their way into our supply. I never asked (nor cared) about their origin, but figured the school benefitted from a substantially discounted supply from Bub to have their brand at the attention of a young market of potential future customers. After high school, I did buy a couple of Bubs, one of which is an important part of my jock comfort today. However, I now proudly own and wear a couple of Duke Pro jocktraps which are most often worn under jeans and at the gym these days. Every guy has a potential jockstrap comfort zone between his legs, and I'm sure there is a strap to meet every man's needs.

I've run across the good and the bad, some even in the same brand. Mueller is a good example of that - some of them have a really lose, stretchy pouch that barely does anything. Other ones have a thick, double ply pouch that really holds you in comfortably. The Bike 2 pack supporters aren't bad, but the good old 3" waistband isn't there. The heaviest duty I ever ran across were Adams. I bought their Youth Large when I was in high school, decided to try out jocks, still had about a 30 waist to fit it. Both the waist and pouch were so tight, it was almost uncomfortable at first. With a little breaking in the support was amazing though. I can't imagine what that would have felt like to try on as a first jock as a lot younger guy. Even less developed and with a smaller waist it would have kept you locked in really tight.

My two favorites were always Bike and ACE. My last ACE swimmer just recently wore out. The swimmer was discontinued well before the wideband. I was sick that my last wideband ACE was forgotten in a hotel room.

Bike is a the classic athletic jockstrap and I bought a few of the throwback ones that were last reissued.

My first jockstrap was a Bike. My first strap buddy was a huge fan of ACE and he turned me on to them. The unique leg bands, to me, were comfortable and never needed attention while
working out.

If anyone has any ACE jockstraps MED in decent shape HMU.

Subject: Favorite Brand of Jockstrap
My favorite brand of jockstrap has to be the original Bike 10 jockstrap with the wheel logo on the 3 inch wide waistband as it was my first jockstrap. For swimmers jockstraps, the Bauer and Black swimmers jockstraps are my favorite...just something about how that pouch conforms to my dick and balls. I did have a few Heart of Texas jockstraps that I loved; as they lifted and pushed out my dick and balls with out any kind of binding or fatigue. But alas the elastic gave out on them and I had to throw them out. I prefer old vintage jockstraps to the newer fashion jockstraps....for me they are more manly.

Those younger days in jr high getting my first brand new Bike #10 along with my gym shorts and tee shirt for regular PE class. I used that medium jock up to 10th grade in HS then needed a large. I was loyal to the Bike company till they stopped making the jocks and sold off to another manufacturer. The new grey waistband and leg straps don't hold up.

I switched to MC David & Adam jocks. But found several of the colored fashion jocks work just as well especially for daily underwear under jeans and sweatpants sleeping in a jock under pj pants is very comfortable.
I've encouraged several younger males who never wore a jock at all to try several regular jocks and a couple fashion jocks they all agree if the colored jocks were offered to wear for PE they would. some even got their circle of buddies strapped some are in HS now.

Bike, now GYM is still my favorite jockstrap and in particular the swimmer’s jockstrap which I wear most often and have the most pairs of. That being said, the new mesh pouched Omtex jockstraps are not up there as well, I recently purchased a couple of pairs from jockstraps.com. The pouches fit great and really give you a good bulge in shorts and the waistbands fit to size properly and have a nice soft feel on the inner aspect. The pouches are also not too tall so that the end of the pouch between your legs ends up in the right place. If you haven’t tried the Omtex mesh jockstraps yet you should.

Subject: I AGREE WITH JOEJOCK
I appreciate Joejock's review. An important function of this website is brothers helping each other find the right jocks. His two favorites are also winners in my book.

OMTEX is a great jock. The pouch is the right size as Joe describes. Somehow the weave lets my balls come forward, it lifts them without compressing them. The waist band conforms to my stomach and doesn't fold over. I often find myself instinctively grabbing an OMTEX without consciously thinking about any reason. Sometimes we instinctively record what makes us happy without figuring out why.

GYM JOCK 2.0.
BIKEs have always been the best jock, with one exception. About a decade before their sales died, they had started making the pouches extra long. The various re-makes all had the same proportions. Some guys liked the extra material, but more didn't. So Joe Rohrbach, this sites manager and maker of GYM JOCKS, just corrected it and the new line of GYM JOCKS 2.0 has a little shorter pouch. They fit and support like the BIKES of old. I've been waiting a long time for this!

I am different from Joejock in that I like the wide waistbands. It gives more serious support. However the new 2" waist band of the GYM JOCK is a good compromise. It still stays in place and is less bulky.

PS I just clicked on Joejock's images (above). You should check them out. He has a cock that would frighten a horse!

Subject: MAjock Omtex jockstraps
Both the ACE 3 inch and Splash 1 inch jockstraps have the mesh/waffle-weave pouches. I have both models and really find them to be comfortable. I agree with Strapped Wrangler that the pouch lifts your balls and pushes them forward giving you an awesome bulge and yet is supportive and comfortable. I find that the pouch doesn’t leave you with a bunch of excess fabric bunching up under your balls nor does it extend too far behind your balls. Even with the 3” waistband it doesn’t sit too high up on your abdomen. The mesh also really stretches out so if you need room to expand during the day when wearing it it’ll give you that room. Of course if you’re like me and you like to wear jockstrap when having sex, it’ll give you room then as well. ; )

Subject: GYM 2.0
The 2.0 updates to the GYM jockstraps are very welcome. I completely agree with Strapped Wrangler that the updated pouches are great. The older pouches were always a bit too long so if you didn’t want too much pouch behind your balls you had to pull the jockstrap up too high on your abdomen. If you had the waistband at its most comfortable position there was too much pouch between your legs behind your balls. Perhaps taller guys didn’t have this issue but I’m only 5’7” tall so it always bugged me. The 2.0 pouch essentially solves this issue now so you have the comfort of the usual BIKE pouch with the waistband sitting where you want it without too much pouch behind your balls.

I do like the 2” GYM 2.0 jockstrap quite a lot as well as the swimmer’s. With the updates to the pouch I now find that the 2” fit much better now as well since the same changes were made to it.
For working out, I prefer the 2” since it gives more support since the waistband gives more firm support to the pouch, but for all day wear or sleeping I prefer the lighter support of the swimmer’s.

Subject: OMTEX ACE

For MAjock:

I was saying that I liked the OMTEX ACE with the 3" waist band. It looks like the OMTEX SPLASH has the same pouch but with a swimmer waist band. I don't actually prefer the appearance of the puffy waffled pouches, but the weave conforms to me real good. It does it's job. They made them that way because they work.

Joejock did a great job in describing the problem with jocks that have such a long pouch that you end up with a bunch of unused material behind your balls. Too much extra material lets my nuts fall back to my ass and it defeats the purpose of wearing a jock. The bottom of the pouch should cup your nuts and keep them from getting pushed back between your legs where they can get smashed.

I am very tall and I still have problems if the pouch is too long. I don't want to pull the waistband up to my ribs to get support. So I am happy when they are designed to wear in the normal place on your hips, and still give support.
