Subject: all jockstraps
I love all jockstraps I wear then almost 24 hours a day. My first was a Falco I still have it lost its elastity in its straps. Do most people hang on to their old jocks. |

Usually wear my jocks 24/7 collection of Bike, Duke, Champions and some cups, form vintage days to modern cups. Enjoy my jocks as cruise for gay porn, keep the lube and poppers on hand. |

What do guys do with old worn out jocks? Seems like the straps or waistbands tend to go first. |

True jock aficionados will keep their old jocks until they cannot be worn. I have replaced worn leg straps on several old jockstraps where the waistband and pouch were still good. I used the leg straps from newer model jockstraps that I did not like as mush as I like the vintage older jocks. I still have my first jockstrap (small Bike 10 with wheel logo on label)....it is totally shot but I just cannot throw it away. |

Subject: MY DAD'S APPROVAL
If I buy a jock I don't like, I throw it away very soon.
If it is worn out, I throw it away if I can get more of that kind.
If it is a great jock that is no longer manufactured, I will save it forever, even if it is worn out, or wearing out. I have a lot of those.
I also have some almost 100 years old that I got from Tom Perdue.
When I had a wife I would have her switch parts to give new life to a jock with a great pouch, if other parts were wearing out. Or I'd re-use a great waist band for lift. I would also have her tighten up the pouch on the new BIKES. They are the best material, but the pouches have too much material behind your balls.
Jockstraps are my only underwear so I have plenty of them, as did my dad. He only wore jocks for sports, swimming, yard work or hiking, when he "had a reason".
He admired me as a self-defined man, because I "always had a reason". Mom didn't like him in jocks. She wanted to see him looking like a "gentleman" in nice boxers. Fuck that! He hung out around the house in jocky brand white tighties.
Mom didn't like it when Dad bought us jockstraps at 11 years old. The straps were always showing above our jeans or summer cut-off jeans. We were proud to be like the "big guys". Dad said jocks were the healthiest and wisest thing to wear. He was proud to start our generation wearing jocks full time, even if he did not have the confidence to do so in his world.
He bought them for us and told us that we could wear them anytime we wanted. He was happy to see that me and my brother and my neighborhood buddies chose to wear jocks a lot. I wore them almost all the time. He said that was good. I felt his warm approval. "That's a good idea, son." I felt his warm approval all the time I was wearing a jock, as a boy and as a man. I love my dad for that.
My dad has passed on now, but wearing a jock I can still feel his approval.

I too am reluctant to toss out a jock. I am experiencing the first of my jocks going bad so to speak. My first little Duke cup jock I had as a young boy was the first to become brittle and gone.
But now I am seeing it in some of my favorite and most comfortable ones from my high school day and my first high school football game and wrestling match wasn't even 10 years old.
I wish I knew how to better preserve them both because they hold memories of a special time and bonding with those teammates and because they can't be replaced. I don't know whether using a jock too much or leaving it laying in the top of your closet is worse for them.
My and my buddies got that same guidance from my dad, not so much to wear them anytime, but then again he never discouraged that. We skinny dipped in our jocks, hung out in my room (which was the whole basement) in our jocks, and were never in a hurry to cover up when we had them on in the locker room, or motel room on a wrestling trip.
Great fun that most guys approaching puberty now will never experience, heck, most didn't experience it when I grew up, I was just one of the lucky few. |
