Subject: First jockstrap
I know most guys got their first jock entering middle school for pe. Anyone get their first one for a sport before you entered middle school |

Still in middle school, but I got my first real jockstrap for wrestling club summer before 7th grade. I had cup supporters before that for a year or so for baseball or lacrosse. This was in 2005 so our PE never required a jockstrap or even suggested we wear them. |

Subject: 11 YEARS OLD
Me and my buddies couldn't wait to be old enough to wear jocks. When I was in 6th grade the first guy in our school started puberty. He had an older brother who wore jocks, so he got one too. When we heard this, all of a sudden we all got jockstraps, and some of us wore them all day playing outdoors in summer.
I was the oldest of my brothers and had the responsibility of making the step forward. I helped influence the spirit in our neighborhood.
I wouldn't hit puberty for 3 years, but our friend signaled that the process was starting for all of us. Our testosterone was beginning to increase some at that age. You never knew when puberty would hit! You wouldn't want to leave home in the morning, and discover that your cock and balls hit puberty before you got home! Wouldn't want to be caught without one!
My Dad was more than happy that I was claiming my manhood. Our Mom didn't like the straps showing above the pants on her shirtless boys, but Dad shut her up. Thanks Dad! Dad worked at a lumber yard and was a jock wearer. When my brothers got older there would be jockstraps all over the house.

Officially, I was required to have a jock and a jock/cup combo in fourth grade for PE. PE was required from the fourth grade to Senior year at my school—and yes, we did have a daily jock checks. Unofficially, I learned what a jock was in the second grade when I went to a peewee wrestling clinic/season taught by my best friend’s father. My friend and I were given our equipment by his father, which included a jock in the package. We first put them on backwards—we had no idea. We also attended the wrestling clinic/season in the third grade as well, before officially having to wear a jock in PE in the fourth grade. |

Playing Little League at 10 I needed a cup. When dad told me to put it on he also went and got me jockstraps. Everything was Bike at the time. Maybe that is why I still love BIKE. |

Sixth grade, it became a mandatory part of our gym uniform and the local sporting good store sold Bikes and Champions. Everyone got the Bike jocks to fit in. Our high school sold only Champions in the book store. Once I fit into them, I wore my Dad's Champion hand me downs. He said no reason to buy each of us jocks so we just shared them going forward replacing them when needed. My guys and I do the same with our jocks. |

Around 3rd grade. I was a catcher in little league. Each team had one league issued cup for the catcher. Whomever was catcher at the time wore the cup. If the catcher was replaced mid-game, he'd pull out the cup and give it to the new guy. No jock, just a cup... It was icky to a 3rd grader and pretty much served no purpose since there was nothing to hold it in place.
My friend was a catcher for another team. Our brothers were allot older (both of them the same age) They thought the team cup thing was "gay" so they took us to the sporting goods store to get cups and straps. While we were there, they got us regular jocks too as we would be playing pop warner football later that year.
We were so proud of our jocks. Got lots of questions when I didn't need the team cup anymore. Showed the jock off to all my teammates. A bunch ended up with jocks of their own, esp when football started.
Both the cup jock and the regular jock were Bikes... red, orange, and yellow tracer lines.
I've been a jock freak ever sense.

Subject: first jock not for a sport or pe
I did not play sports as a kid outside of pe class. Jocks were not required for pe class either. My first jock came to me after finding a swimmer style jock in one of my older brothers underwear drawer. I never had the jock talk growing up but I just knew that this was something I must have and understand. I would say I was in 8th grade maybe 7th when this happened to me. In high school I bought my first jock which was a Bike jock and cup combo. |

I grew up in an area where basketball was king. There was a youth basketball program that started in the summer after 3rd grade. Jocks were required. I remember feeling all grown since I had to wear a jock just like the high school kids who were helping run the program. |

little league required a jock -- was really happy to get mine from the local sporting good shop - really didn't fill it out like my older brother but sure made me hard and loved the feel of the pouch and straps. Ended up wearing it all day and was hooked.

Yep, got my first one for little league too - it was a cup jock with one of those flat little cups that I could barely fit my nuts into even at that age, lol. Still loved it though, made me feel like a man. |

Subject: Scout camp for swimming
We had to wear one at scout camp for swimming. Bike, the official scout jock. Must have been around 12. We would hang them all on one clothesline after swimming. |

Subject: First Jock
I was 13 years old and made the wrestling team. After the first few practices of just wearing a singlet, the coach pulled me aside and said I needed to keep my package under control. Told my dad that night and over the weekend we went to the sporting goods store and picked me up a few Bike's. He made sure I knew how to wear it and I've been wearing them as underwear ever since. |

Subject: 16 - Los Angeles County Sheriff Explorer Academy
When I was in high school I wanted to be a cop when I got older, so one of the things I did was join the explorers program for the LA County Sheriff Office. Similar to how sworn police officers do, there was an academy for the explorers. It was held on Saturdays from 7:00am - 5:00pm for 16 weeks in a row. Physical Training (PT) was part of the academy for usually around 2 hours at some point during the day. Sometimes they would add a second session to finish off the day.
Running was the main activity, and along with green running shorts and white t-shirt with our last name printed on the back, the guys PT uniform included a white bike jockstrap. The dress code was very clear for both regular dress, and PT clothing. So for PT it was running shoes, white calf high socks, green running shorts, t-shirt with last name on the back, and the white bike jockstrap.
To ensure that everyone followed the dress rules, they would check to make sure guys weren't trying to wear their jock over their underwear or anything else, so as we'd leave the locker room to assemble in formation outside, you would have to slightly fold the waistband of your shorts down on the side just enough to see the waistband with bare skin above and below it.
A few guys would always get caught and end up having to run a mile or two as punishment. |
