Does anyone else have a problem with the pouch on white McDavid jocks stretching out of shape quickly? It's a comfortable, soft traditional jock, but I'm falling out on the sides more and more. I think this will now be my "house jock," wearing it when knocking around indoors and at night when dick slips aren't an issue! Just looking at the jock this morning the pouch seemed to be about 2 inches too long, and along with the pouch material itself loosing its snap, it's not a surprise that there's not much support left in my athletic supporter. When did that become part of the lexicon? Wonder who came up with that euphemism since "jock strap" wasn't considered acceptable in polite company??

For the most part I never have had issue with McDavid jockstraps and their support. There was a time where the 3" jocks with the green stripes in the waistband and the matching black ones had a really soft pouch which were good for one or two washings then you might as well free ball. The pouches would also split at the edge and you would have a hole allowing a nut to slip out. They were not around long and then they went back to the stiffer pouch.

Hold them up to a light and look and see if the rubber ends have slid down in the vertical lines of the pouch. My McDavid swim jocks did that and they gained 4 inches in length. I have not had a problem with the widebands.

Great tip Bike57. I never had a McDavid Swimmer's jock but that could work with any jockstrap. The older Bike jocks would often have ribs popping out of the pouch or the waist band turning into a rope.

Often the binding where the pouch meets the waistband is not sewn tight enough and it allows the rubber strands to migrate. Don't throw them away. You can still buff the car with them in case you aren't saving them to buff something else!

I like the idea of using a jockstrap to wax my car but I would rather stick with the terry cloth and lambskin bonnets for my buffer. I guess I will use the well worn jockstrap to polish other things like my banister.
