Do Today's Guys Know That Visible Waistbands are Jock Waistbands?

After flashing my 3" white McDavid waistband off and on all afternoon while not wearing a shirt (and I mean the whole thing at times, as it's XL, extra big, and extra comfy) as it rode up my back, often with a little skin showing between the top of the waistband of my shorts and the bottom of my jock's waistband, I just wondered if guys under 50 would even recognize my waistband as that of a jock? Do younger guys even know what a jock waistband looks like today, since most of their balls have never been held by a jock before? Many traditional, old school jocks still have the distinctive stripes and the large, 3" elastic waistband, a look which they share with no briefs that I know of, and certainly not boxers that so many younger guys wear! I guess that's a tough question to get answered since no non-jocked dudes visit this site!

If I'm running at the track and there's other guys around, especially younger guys, I love it when my waistband rides up and shows. I want them to know that real men wear jocks, and maybe inspire some to give them a try.

The older jocks definitely had the look of elastic and every guy that had to wear a jock in gym class knew of the red stripes in Bike jock waistbands. But today jocks are more fashion jocks, so they do not have that heavy duty elastic look. Some have name brands woven into the waistbands but most would not even recognize the older popular jockstrap brands...and most of the older brands are no longer manufactured. Years ago I was working for Wendy's in the maintenance department. While I was at a store doing preventative maintenance work a very good looking delivery man showed up in his tractor trailer to delivered the weeks food. While he was working and bending over to lift boxes, I could see the waistband of his Bike 10 jockstrap rising above the back of his jeans. As a jock enthusiast, I could tell he was wearing a jockstrap by the heavy look of the elastic and the stripes in the waistband. You do not know how badly I wanted to comment to him about wearing a jockstrap.
