Subject: Well Worn Jocks in the Lockerrom
I'm not a big fan of washing my jocks. Much prefer sweat and some other stains to build up a bit. But I also wear jock to the gym and change in the lockerroom--I don't want to offend anyone or let it get too raunchy.
How do other guys deal with this one? How often you launder yours jocks? |

Subject: Well Worn Straps
It takes a freshly wash jock a long tome to absorb enough sweat to feel good so I'd say go for it. I am around customers all day so hate to have too much stink so mine get washed when I get about 20-30 straps soiled. In the summer heat you can stink up a jock pouch pretty fast. |

Subject: Well worn jocks in the locker room
What brand/type of jock do you wear? It all depends on the jock on how often it needs to be washed before it can sit up on its own on the locker room bench or if the smell beats you into the locker room! The old classic BIKE jocks can be worn a week or more without washing. What about wearing it into the shower for a quick rinse? My microfiber jocks tend to start smelling after wearing them just 2-3 days. Man-made fibers don't breathe nearly as well as the old cotton jocks. There's a fine line between a nice man scent and stink! When your jock almost knocks you out when you take it off and get a good whiff, it's time to wash it. By the way...I don't think you'll offend anyone in the locker room. They probably will be too busy trying to figure out what you're wearing rather than focusing on any unusual smells! |

I will wear the same jockstrap for about a week and then switch it out with another jockstrap while I take it home and wash it. I keep 4 to 5 different styles and brands of jocks in my locker at any one time. One married guy in my aisle saw them and asked if all my jockstraps are "Locker Art". |

I wouldn't worry about the smell. I almost always wear previously used sweaty and cumstained underwear or jocks under my shorts at the gym. I just wish the gym was open now. Sigh. |

Yeah man I wouldn't worry about it. I never wash my jocks. I've always figured that if anyone is paying that much attention to my jock, they're probably into jocks themselves, and they aren't gonna care if it's ripe, haha. |

I am a clean every time jockstrap guy. After a wild case of jock itch in HS where I wore my unlaundered jockstrap for a season I wear and wash. |

Subject: Well Worn Jockstaps in the Locker Room
I have seen my fair share of well worn and laundered jockstraps in the locker room. One dude had a 20 year old jockstrap which I looked at and wondered how it even offered support. Years ago I found a discarded Bike #7111. The guy left it behind since he had experienced a jockstrap blow out. I assume he was not happy that his leg straps let the pouch go free. However, I did look at the jockstrap and I knew I need to have one. I did find then at a sporting goods store which served the entire area. This was long before the major chain stores where jockstraps were actually sold. |

Subject: BONDING WITH A FAVORITE CLOTHING ITEM
Years ago I played basketball with some guys in town. One of them had been a football player in school. He had been out of school about 15 years. He always wore the same jockstrap which was so stretched I don't see how it did him any good.
He could have bought another, because the town clothing store still sold jocks back then. Because he never bought a new one I suspect that he was attached to it and maybe he felt like he was back in school where he was the football hero.
They say that men tend to have a loyalty to a certain piece of clothing. I know a guy who kept wearing a favorite old sweat shirt until it was rags. It's a guy thing.
I understand having a favorite jock. However, when it stops supporting my balls, it gets stored in a sacred place and I wear one that works.

I too have seen some guys in the locker room putting on worn out jockstraps. I look at them and wonder why they wear a jock that offers less support than boxer shorts. But I agree with strapped Wrangler...some guy just have a thing for a certain piece of clothing and I think more guys have special feelings for their jockstraps. I kept the first jockstrap I ever had until the elastic crumbled from old age and it would not even stay on my hips anymore. I loved that old Bike 10. |

Don't we all have our favorite worn out and tattered Levi's? Nothing better than an old friend who has supported you through the years, on and off the field, in and out of the locker room!! Worn and frayed, tattered and torn, but soft as butter!! Jeans or a jock, nothing beats comfortable! |

There was one dude in the locker room I belonged to who wore his jockstrap with pride. No one cared but when he strapped up and talked to everyone while talking trash he best buddies often asked....Dude can't you afford a new jockstrap? His was about 20 years old and all I ever saw was the waistband looked like a rope but I never got to see the pouch. He would often get pants at the gym in front of girls he was hitting on. It was funny and I miss the antics men played on each other when we all were strapped and every real man wore a jock |
