Subject: Meyer VS. GYM brand
Hey all, as anyone compared the two of these brands? Ive only used the GYM jocks, pretty similar to Bike, but they dont seem to last that long. Has anyone had better luck with the Meyer jocks from Jockstrap Central?

I do appreciate both brands for continuing on with Bike styles, but I like Meyer better. The pouch is higher quality and holds your package better. It seems the material is longer lasting as well.

Aren't they the same jocks, made by the same company, but just different labels?

They are the same cheap crap. They look and feel great when you put them on right out of the box. After a washing or two the fall apart. The pouch stays in shape but the leg straps fray. I have a bunch of both including some bikes and they are all the same. They are just not made the way they used to be.

Subject: Often imitated, but never duplicated.
This slogan from the 1920s is just as applicable to diamond weddings rings as to Bike # 10 jockstraps.
I live in the United Kingdom. I have not purchased the "GYM" brand, but recently purchased the "Meyer" while traveling in Europe in October.
I hope that I will not offend, but the quality of the material and the general craftsmanship of any of the jockstraps which are manufactured in communist China today continue to be inferior. The Meyer jockstraps which I purchased just a month ago have not withstood daily wear and washing as the older 3" waistband Bike jockstraps upon which these have been based. Certainly compared with many other brands available at a reasonable price, though, I have to say that the Meyer is better than most.
Still, it is not the same quality of the old Bike, and for those of us who wear jockstraps on a daily basis, it is becoming more difficult to find a reliable replacement - at least on this side of the Atlantic. We must keep searching and we must keep encouraging manufacturers to find a cost-effective way to manufacture the classic rubberized cotton material which was the epitome of jockstrap construction by Bike in the 1960s and early 1970s.

Subject: NEW BIKES
Agreed.

The new BIKES are not even close to the old ones. They keep ripping us off pretending they are giving us the famous classic BIKES. I wish someone would remake the old BIKES. I also wish that those who are not would stop pretending they have.

Subject: Gym and Meyer but what about C-in2
Shame to read Gym and Meyer aren’t great
But has anyone tried C-in2 brand
They make a great jockstrap with a wide waist band from what I can see that I’d like to try
Anyone have experience with that brand

Subject: McDavid
I was also a huge Bike fan and now I’ve switched to McDavid the white ones are softer for some reason not sure why but the black straps feel like they are cutting into my butt cheek. The pouch of the McDavid is snug but also large enough to allow a little movement.

Subject: new bike jocks
I m ols school I guess I love the old standard Bike jocks I still have one that I got several years after school ended in 1977 and I still wear it occasionally still the best. The new bike jocks are crap. The mc David's are ok & the Adam jocks But as casual wear any of the more fashion jocks hole everything in place.

Any dads got their boys strapping? im a uncle here.

Subject: Preferred jocks
I bought heaps of Bike jocks before production stopped and now sadly they’re wearing out
I wear a jock every day and have done so for years
I bought other brands but I won’t name them because they were crap but I haven’t tried Meyer
That’s the one and only I’m keen to try
And yeah like so many guys here I wish Bikes were still made
Interestingly I’ve noticed guys wearing jocks more and more
Someone commented the other day when I was changing for my squash game that jocks seem to becoming popular again
Maybe as we get older our boys are needing a bit more support than when we were in our twenties
