Subject: Jockstraps on TV
Just watched "The Real O'Neils" and couldn't believe my eyes. The divorced dad lives in the basement of the family home, and a friend was visiting him. He walks into the barely finished basement and has to walk past a clothesline of at least 4-5 white, wideband jocks (McDavid, hard to tell--no closeup!) hanging on a clothesline. Neither guy says anything about them. At the end of the scene, the dad is complaining about living in the basement, and comments that "the jockstraps aren't even mine!" His buddy comments, "I was wondering..." You can take it more than one way the way he said it! The dad's son is a high school wrestler on the show, so at least the writer of the show knows the importance of jocking up in 2016! |

On a Big Bang Theory TV show....Sheldon and his friends are at a drug store and run into a character played by Bob Newhart. In the background near the cashier area where they are talking is a display of jockstraps. I am pretty sure it was in the 2015 or 2016 series of the show. |

Has any one else ever noticed how the TV cameramen try not to show the male athletes crotches? It used to be the football players wore jockstraps under their football pants. If the pants were light colored you could see the leg straps of the players jockstraps when they zoomed in on the plays. Now most wear compression shorts; but even then the cameramen pan up above the waist as they try not to show the men's bulges. Back in the day, the tennis shorts were shorter and tighter and mostly white shorts. You could always tell if the male tennis players were wearing a jockstrap, especially as they got sweatier as the game progressed. It is harder for the cameramen to not show bulges for wrestling matches...but they do try. And the do the same for male swimmers and divers....panning up to avoid the bulges of the young guys in their speedo. But for the women...they show it all. |

I think jockstrap sales would go up if they advertised on TV. I'm tired of the FDS type products, tampons & feminine things being on TV w/o products that would only be used by men not on TV. ADVERTISE! |

Subject: Jocks mentioned on Reruns
Was watching reruns last night and TWO made references to jocks! On Mike and Molly, Mike was talking to a fellow police officer, Carl. Mike razzes Carl for wearing a thong, and Carl defends himself by saying he's wearing a camo jockstrap! It makes him feel like Rambo. On Two Broke Girls, Kat is working in a juice bar and commented that the smoothie smelled like a dirty jockstrap! Someone writing these shows gets it!!! |

Subject: BOOT CAMP
I watched a lot of YouTube videos about Army boot camp. I was hoping for some jock scenes because in boot camp we had to wear jocks all the time, and we were often seen in them. However they omitted jockstrap references from the videos.
The closest I saw was jocks in a foot locker drawer, but you could barely tell what they were.
ARMY BOOT CAMP: THIS IS HOW IT IS. 1963 US ARMY.
Go to 9:45 and watch 2 minutes. It's hardly worth it. If you have not been in boot camp, you should watch some of these documentaries and see what we went through.
When you see how we climbed over logs and poles at ball smashing speeds you will understand how your balls would be smashed grapes if they were dangling. You want an athletic supporter with rubber in the pouch. The "fashion jocks" would not do the job.
We were only given one. We were ordered to wear them into the shower and wash them, and dry them on our bed posts every night. Every bed post had a jock on it. It made the barracks smell real nice. They didn't show that in the movies.

I was watching a rerun of the first series of Will and Grace featuring Kevin Bacon. Jack was hired as his personal assistant, but was also clandestinely stalking Bacon. Can't what precipitated the comment, but Bacon said "if I had a dollar for every time someone stole my jockstrap at the gym" and Jack knowingly and impulsively blurted out "158!" (Would love to see his jockstrap drawer!) Even though jockstraps have all but disappeared from the sports landscape, it's great to see that they are still included as part of the popular culture of TV sitcoms. |

Subject: Yet Another Jockstrap Mention on TV
Guess I'm watching too many reruns...I was watching The Nanny, and Fran Drescher was holding a huge jockstrap in her hands, acquired for the young boy she nannied. Both she and the boy's father gave the boy a hard time when he entered the room, all the while Fran is holding the XL white jock. Maybe it was a product placement by BIKE before it's recent demise!! Have to admit that I've seen more jockstraps on TV recently than in the gym--other than in the mirror! |

Tonight (3/29/18) on the NBC show,"Champions", a show about 2 brothers owning a NYC gym, the one character was talking about a guy wearing a jockstrap at the very beginning of the show. I love hearing the word jockstrap on TV. |

On Jimmy Kimmell Live, an actor named Richard Madden was playing Prince Charming in a Disney movie, and he told Jimmy Kimmell that to not show their bulges in the skin tight white pants (like horse riding pants) they all had wear, the males all had to try on different jockstraps to help disguise their crotches. Actor Russell Crowe sold the leather cup jockstrap he wore in Cinderella Man for $7,000.00 dollars. John Oliver bought it and donated it to a blockbuster in Alaska. To see some of the night time TV talk show hosts talk about it is funny. I never heard the word jockstrap said so many times in one show. |

It's a pretty cool commercial since the announcer even calls it a jockstrap on air. It's nicely done and maybe bring up some father/son conversations about jocks. I was happy to see a jockstrap being shown to the public. Glad it was a Hispanic father and sons. They are a masculine culture. That will make jocks more acceptable to all races.
In a world where 1/3 of children have no dad in the home, and boys have no dad to bond with, I was glad to see boys learning what a man is. If the dad did the laundry, it may have been a dad raising his sons alone. Kids need daddies, especially boys. I thought it was well done.
What puzzles me is that anyone would expect a jockstrap to smell bad. If it was briefs they could smell bad if his hind end wasn't clean. but a jock only covers your balls and that is the only part of a man's body that smells sweet.
If someone stuck my jock in my face while I was asleep, I would have even better dreams than if it has been washed with Gain detergent.
I was sad to see that the company was attacked by women sayin the ad was disgusting and demeaning. It's a sign of the times.
If is fashionable in todays feminized culture to be against men and anything male. Many women like this want to raise kids without a man around. Many women think that men's body parts are disgusting. We are under attack. If you have a good woman, good for you. If not, who needs them.
We watched ads for decades about women's vaginal hygiene problems, feminine odor and feminine itch. You have one ad showing a clean jock and the bitches go to war. Fuck them.
Do: write Gains and tell them that you liked the ad.

The Gain commercial shows a clean, washed jock, not a malodorous female body part that needs a product to make it clean and fresh smelling!! The argument doesn't need to go to douches, tampons, and feminine hygiene sprays; it's just about being fair, showing both men's support wear and women's support wear. They show women in bras, with most of the boob showing. Where are the equal rights marchers?!? Men should be able to be seen wearing jocks, with no crack showing, but about half a SHAVED ball visible would be okay, which is equivalent to a half boob showing. Sorry, no tips allowed, guys, just like no nips allowed on the ladies! BUT, VPL is very much allowed!! How about it Gloria Allred, prove to us that equal means equal!! Stand up for men who are victims of discrimination and unequal treatment! |

In the early season of Reba. Vans shows his jockstrap on one or two occasions. And one point can asked his wife to stop putting potpourri in his jock cause when he works out it hurt his balls. Subject: TV NEWS BROADCAST REGARDING DONATED JOCKSTRAPS
I just discovered a television news broadcast from Montreal, Canada in 2017. A gentleman who has been generously donating ice hockey equipment to a team in Israel for more than 25 years was informed by the players that while they are very grateful for all of the gear, the one item which is missing - wait for it! - they need jockstraps! The gentleman immediately searched every store in Montreal to buy more than 350 jockstraps and cups, and then donated the entire cargo to the ice hockey players. Apparently jockstraps are not readily available in that area of the world. The program has been dubbed "Operation Jockstrap". The story is quite admirable, though I wonder how the television interviewer was able to keep his composure while using the word "jockstrap" so many times on camera! In another Big Bang Theory show...In a dream Sheldon is having Lenard is shown in a leather outfit....leather chaps, harness and leather jockstrap and he is tied up as Penny is dominating him. It is a short clip but hot to see. If you watch the Big Bang Theory a lot you can see that Leanard....Johnny Galecki...shows a nice package in his pants a lot. His dick is hanging down his left leg a lot. |

I remember when I watched a football game it was not unusual to see a player's jockstrap thought his pants. No one cared. Football players wore jockstraps since they were jocks. There is a reason BIKE was the official jockstrap of the NFL. Fox even had a commercial where they turned a jockstrap into a slingshot and send a Claymation Terry Bradshaw into the huddle to get the inside information. |
