I don't see as many as I used to. Some guys don't even shower and just walk out after working out, strapless and sweaty. |

Subject: Jocks at the Gym
The YMCA where I workout has lots of men in the locker room pulling jocks out of their gym bags and off their asses. Some guys wear compression shorts, but I did hear a couple of guys recently talking about how much more comfortable and ventilated they felt working out in a jockstrap versus the compression shorts. |

Yeah strap here at the gym, now and then catch a guy or two. And yeah one was a younger guy maybe mid 20's. Looked nice on him. |

Essentially no way to tell if the jocked guys at the gym are gay or straight. Who would care if they are all in agreement about the benefits of jockstraps. Time will tell... the tide is turning toward strapping for comfort and healthy workouts. |

Only seen two other jockstraps in my 5-years at Gold's. They do their thing, I do mine. Have never considered going without a jock myself. |

I go the gym on base, retiree benefit, and only see jocks on a few other retirees. The young members wear their boxerbriefs or compression shorts. |

At YMCA I work out at I see a lot of guys wearing jocks. Mostly dudes over 30 but a few toung guys have been wearing them in past year or so. |

I've gotten a number of guys my age into jocks at the college gym. Sometimes my friends ask me why I wear one, and after I tell them, they start wearing one, too. Compression shorts are more for your muscles, but they don't really hold your balls and dick in place the way a jock does. Plus, their gf or bf will love seeing them in it, even a little waistband showing. More often, though, I just notice guys I usually change with start to wear one, too, with no comments exchanged. And I'm including a number of straight guys among those who have started wearing jocks. Who knows, if they get their younger brothers to wear them, too, we could have a growing trend. I gave my two younger brothers a jock, and they both wear them now. Just doing my part! |

Subject: Workout, sauna, Wash n wear !
Wearing a jockstrap at the gym is the most practical way to workout. The benefits of support and comfort with maximum ventilation should be obvious to any man. After the workout, it's comfortable sauna wear, next best to being nude, and has the practical ability to [minimally] cover (or disguise) the best heat-induced "Sauna boner" which has a way of rearing its beefy head regardless of any restraining garment.. but who cares, right? Then, it becomes a very practical wash cloth, of sorts, in the shower. What better way to scrub and exfoliate skin that with a soap-soaked pouch and straps of your "jock-cloth?" Then rinse the freshly-washed jockstrap, before bringing it home for a relatively fast air-dry for your next workout. No laundry machine or soap needed. Of course, following all these steps without giving in to the temptation of loading it up with a fresh shot of man-sperm is another challenge in itself. But life is full of great choices !! |

Subject: JOCKSTRAPS IN SHOWERS
At boot camp we were only given one jockstrap which we were required to wear at least twice a day for physical training. There were jockstrap inspections and you would be punished severely if you did not wear one.
Many of us lived in our jockstrap for the whole 2 months. They were a military brand with pouches that were very snug on the average guy. They did not want testicle problems. One brand for everyone. One size fits all. Right guys? But it was difficult for the guys with big stuff to keep everything in it. So some guys took them off when it was not mandatory to wear them.
We were required to wear our jockstraps into the showers and wash them at the end of every day. We took them off after getting them wet and hung them up to dry over our heads on our bunks at night. We got real intimate with our jockstraps.
We were told that there was no punishment for beating off. There would have been a crisis if they asked thousands of men to hold in their semen for 2 months. There was little privacy. You could do it in the showers right in front of everyone if you wanted. No one in my unit did, however the bullies forced some guys to jack-off into their jocks for everyone's entertainment. |

I always strap up for the gym. I have noticed others mostly 30+ crowd. One guy you could see his black leg straps when doing the seated leg press. Jocks are still a minority, but they are long from being dead. |

Subject: Embarrassing the regulars
When we travel as team sometimes we stop at a gym along the way for a workout. We just kind of take over the locker room stripping, those of us who wear one putting on a jockstrap, then after workouts all showering totally naked. It garners a lot of looks. I did see a guy once who was already almost dressed for his workout stop and take his shorts and underwear off, dig out a jockstrap from his bag and put it on after seeing our guys do so. I also have noticed that if its a place that when we first get there the showers are vacant or mostly guys still wearing shorts or swimwear, that seems to change when we come in to shower all naked, anyone who comes in the shower seems to follow our lead and comes in naked. Once we were joined by some younger guys from the pool, they initially joined us in their swim trunks, but one then another took them off and joined us naked. Another time we joined a whole swim team showering in their speedos, they too soon stripped and stayed in the showers as long as we did, not sure if that was their norm or just following our lead.
All I can say is always set the example and not be a follower!! |

I do see a few men wearing jockstraps at my gym. Its mostly older men in their 60's. They/we are from an era when it was drilled in to our heads to wear jocks for gym class in junior and senior high school.
There was one time a few years ago that a younger guy that shares a locker in my aisle at the gym asked me where he could get a good jockstrap. He had seen me in my jock many times as well as saw my small stash of jocks in my locker. I asked him what his waist size was and he told me 32 inches. I asked him if he would be in the gym the next day and he said yes...why? I told him I would bring him a good jock. The next day I took him a brand new (old stock) Bike 10 jockstrap I had in my collection and gave it to him. He offered me money for it and I told him to not worry about it. Just seeing him wearing the jock was payment enough. |

I do MMA and spar and every guy at my MMA gym wears a cup. It's actually very rare to see someone not wearing a cup. |
